What percentage of the monthly sponsorship donation actually benefits my sponsor child?
Impact Ministries provides 93% of your donation to the educational/discipleship program, and uses 7% to cover the cost of the US administration.
What specific things does the monthly sponsorship donation provide my sponsor child?
A nutritious meal every day (for some their only meal), a vitamin, education, a Christmas gift (usually a new pair of shoes), a birthday gift, and access to medical and dental care for the child and their family.
How long has Impact Ministries been running their sponsorship program?
Impact Ministries has been working in Tactic since 2000. We are celebrating our 17th anniversary in 2017.
How many Colegio Vida Christian schools and students do Impact Ministries fund?
In 2017, there were 7 elementary schools, 3 junior high schools, and 1 high school, serving over 1,350 students in Alta and Baja Ver Paz.
May I write to or visit my sponsored child?
Sponsors are encouraged to communicate to their sponsor child through our "Write Your Child Today!" website or forms. As well, Impact has a special sponsor's trip in which you can travel to Guatemala and personally visit your sponsor child. Contact our teams coordinator at teams@impactminusa.org for more information regarding our next sponsor's trip.
Is there a period of time I am required to commit to sponsoring a child?
How long you choose to sponsor a child is up to you. However, you have the opportunity to change a child's life. You can sponsor the student through school and university if you wish. The cost per month will not change. We have many sponsors that have been faithful in supporting their child through their entire education.
May I sponsor more than one child?
Absolutely!
Do I get to choose which child I sponsor?
Our staff know the personal history and needs of each child on our waiting list. They will choose who the best candidate is for you.
