Take the Bite Out of Hunger #NoHungryKidsIt is very troubling to watch a child suffer. To see a child with relentless gnawing hunger and no prospect of being fed in the next 24 hours is heartbreaking. To see parents working hard, struggling to provide food for their family is challenging. We see this every day, and we are overwhelmed! It moves us to action! This is why on #Giving Tuesday you will have a special opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children in Guatemala. Impact Ministries has a feeding program for all 10 of our schools. The children come to school and eat a hot meal before starting their classes. For some children, this is their only meal of the day. Will you help nourish these precious children with food that sustains them? You can bring hope! Join us on #Giving Tuesday, November 29th, and donate to provide hot nutritious meals to children in Guatemala. This will bring hope and encouragement to students and their families who struggle daily to have sufficient food. Right now, because of generous donors, each dollar you donate to feed hungry children will provide 5 hot meals for the first $6,000 donated on #GivingTuesday, doubling the impact of your donation! You can set up your #GivingTuesday gift today! Click the button below and choose the date of your gift to be November 29th. For more information visit the #GivingTuesday webpage ![]() We are grateful to our child sponsors and class supporters and yet with the fallen Canadian dollar we are needing to supplement with further fundraising.

For me, there is nothing more troubling than watching a child suffer.
The Lord said, “Let the children come….” He is calling, because He wants to provide relief and freedom. Humanly speaking, we don’t have capability of meeting the multitude of needs around us. BUT, the Lord wants to restore these children. He wants to heal them and break the cycles that have held the Guatemalan people in bondage for hundreds of years. He wants to intervene in situations that seem hopeless… and He wants to SHOW HIS GLORY to the world by doing the IMPOSSIBLE. We are seeing it happen! Our former students are now carrying the Lord’s vision forward to the children. A generation of godly leaders are now taking their places in Guatemala. Thank you for standing with us. ![]() Food. It’s something we don’t think about a lot in North America. We always have it, whatever we want, whenever we want and in abundance. It is life sustaining. Our options are almost too much to fathom. However, it is not that way for Alex. His family struggles each day to provide the food necessary to sustain his whole family. Dad has left, and mom suffers from depression. An aunt and uncle try to cobble together some part-time jobs to provide, but each day is a struggle. What will we eat today? Impact Ministries’ agricultural program exists to provide nutritious produce to our 10 Vida schools as part of the schools feeding program. Food that will nourish, food that will allow almost 1,600 children to grow and thrive. Each week fresh produce grown on the Chisac property is transported to each campus and prepared as breakfast for the elementary students and lunch for our junior and senior high students. Over 8,000 meals a week! All to help struggling families feed and nourish their children. Another aspect of the agricultural program is to develop self-sustaining streams of income for the ministry. Approximately 21.6 acres of property is under cultivation. The crops are then sold in the wholesale market providing additional income to the ministry. The agricultural program employs on average 38 people providing those families income so that they can provide for themselves. Soon we hope to have a seedling business that will sell seedlings propagated in the greenhouse to other area farmers increasing the amount of revenue this part of the ministry could generate! If you are reading this and have not gone without a meal, stop and say a quick thank you to God for his bountiful provision. If you would like to see children continuing to get nourishing food each school day and the agricultural program continuing to grow and thrive would you consider partnering with the agricultural program with a financial gift? This will allow them to continue expanding their operations. May God’s grace and bounty be poured out here in Guatemala! |
