Edgar

Edgar was one of our very first sponsored children.  Eight years ago he was about to enter grade 10.  Not too many people choose to sponsor an older child; but the Lord provided a sponsor for Edgar, not only as he finished up his high school education but onward through university.   When Edgar was informed of his sponsor's willing heart, he took a leap for joy.  The door to his dreams for the future that had been tightly closed, had opened.

Edgar graduated from high school several years ago and has since then earned his Bachelor of Education degree. He is currently in his fifth of six years in becoming an agricultural engineer; his lifelong dream.  The Lord has done an amazing work in Edgar's life and he is also beginning his third year as principal in our Life Christian School here in Tactic.  He has learned to lead with authority and compassion.

Thanks to his faithful sponsor and his diligent teachers, good fruit is being produced in Edgar's life all to the glory of the Lord.

Antonia and Oscar

Antonia and Oscar have five children, all boys. They lived in a small house with a dirt floor. Having a dirt floor means that it becomes a mud floor when it rains. It is also very unsanitary. The five boys were sponsored to attend the Beerseba Christian School. Wanting to bless this family, one of the sponsors took the initiative to contact the sponsors of the other four boys and introduced to them the idea of pouring a concrete floor in this house. They pooled some money and asked Impact Ministries to put a concrete floor into their home. Not only in their home but in front of their house and in the washing area. This blessing, it was explained to the family, was a gift from the Lord. Because of the Lord's love, shown in many other ways as well, this family has received the eternal gift of salvation.
